Fooman’s Fandango

Well, its over. After an amazing 3 days, the Planetshakers Conference KK is done. Slept for 12 hours after dropping of the KL guys at the airport in the morning. Just about caught up with my sleep, although my sleep schedule is still screwy.

There are so many things about the conference that I want to note and remember and stuff to forget as well.
The crew from DUMC were phenomenal! I’m awed and humbled to serve with people with such a spirit of excellence, understanding, generosity, servanthood, humilty, patience, love, and general gila-ness. And all because they love God. This is a group of people who after 3 long sleep deprived days at the conference can still SS by posing for pictures on the road outside Salim at 330am. Love you all.

I was hoping that the kids would pick up something while serving alongside the crew from KL. Honestly I had like twice the amount of people I actually needed, but somethings need to be caught, not taught. I think they did catch something. In varying amounts according to the person and how much they actually put in, but I think everyone caught something. Very proud of them.

When we serve, we think we’re doing God a favor, but the truth is that when we make ourselves available to God, we benefit, because He can do a work in us, as we’re surrender to Him.

Most of my cell was involved in the conference. Am glad and encouraged. Must affirm and encourage them.

I’ve asked the kids to shoot testimonies of people who attended the conference. I would like this experience to be milestones in their spiritual life. Not just a mountain top experience. There has to be a transformation even as we have a major encounter with God, because life meets us head on when we come down from the mountain. When Moses met God on the mountain, he was transformed, but when he came down, he was greeted by the israelites worshipping a golden calf they had made. Talk about a rapid re-entry to earth!

Got a few small video projects lined up for the next 2 months. Not talking about church stuff, there’s always plenty of that. Talking about stuff that actually pays money. Not a lot but should be able to hire some of the kids part time for that. Need to line up more actually. A few more weddings would be nice.

Shooting video for Arise Sabah concert again tonight. Not really live, but gives the crew a chance to practice. At least tonight we know what to expect.

The music video project is kicking off. Ok, it won’t pay, but one of my goals is to get something on air and Astro channel 16 is very possible. MTV Asia? Well, one step at a time.

Then, there’s Christmas. Need to get that video moving too.

Publish the Sarah Project DVDs.

Finish off New Believers Video.

Plan next Sky News. Hmm, why’s it called Sky News when the logo clearly says Skyline News? Should post the vids on my site.

Revisit the ‘Why U want?’ video project.

Plan on how to spend more church money next year.

Oh yeah, do accounts for PS conference. At least the Reggie Dabbs DVD should be ready by Sunday.

Realised I didn’t take a single picture during the conference.

Oh yeah, got to make a major decision that I’m not particularly looking forward to making.
