Wallace & Gromit

Thursday, December 29th, 2005

I’ve been a W & G fan for quite some time, so I was looking forward to this.

I throughly enjoyed this movie. I’m always amazed how much Gromit can express with just his eyes and brows and no mouth. Its funny, got great characters, witty, good pacing and just a lot of fun. I can’t help but contrast this with the previous movie with its state of the art CGI and this movie where the animation is done with plasticine. Of course there are some compositing shots, but by and large it looks and feels hand made. Go see it!

King Kong

Tuesday, December 27th, 2005

Well, its very obvious that director Peter Jackson poured his heart and soul and wallet into this epic. It just didn’t connect with me. Sorry.

Dum dee dum

Well, I’m in KL and caught up with my sleep. I’ve just been hanging out, catching up with friends, and meeting people.

SIBKL’s presentation; Storm in a Teacup was excellent. Tightest production yet, with a very personal message. Very well done. Hung out with two very funny gals on Sunday.

Loaf story is up online at:http://homepage.mac.com/fooman/Movies/iMovieTheater168.html

Apparently the Christmas service at Skyline went well.

Hmm, maybe go see King Kong tomorrow and/or Wallace and Gromit.

It is finished…

Friday, December 23rd, 2005

Well, The Loaf Story video is done. Acutally its in final render now.

Incredible, really. Considering at this time yesterday, I really didn’t know if this was going to get done. At all.

Anyways, proof once again, that this stuff only gets done by God’s grace, and gets done late at night.

Not only that, it actually comes in under 8 minutes.

Well, time to shower, pack and then go back to church to make the DVD. I’ll put in on my website at some point.

I’m off to KL in 6 hrs time, then I can sleep.

Can’t wait to watch Storm in Teacup on Sunday. And catch up with those who are dear to me.

Merry Christmas all. See you next year.

Matthew 25:37-40
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

Its Thursday

Well, got my Mykad done. Need to bring the work clothes out of mothballs.

Brother in town. Discovered his Sony Ericsson K750i uses a different charger from my T610, so he has to go buy a charger to charge his phone. Can’t the phone makers get their act together?

Down to the Loaf Story video. One more day to go!! I figure if those guys at the 48 hrs film festival can produce, write, shoot and edit a short film in 2 days, I should be able to nail this thing down. Just need to shut out distractions.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. ”- Luke 2:8-11

My Kad

Thursday, December 22nd, 2005

Applied for my MyKad today. Only took me like a half hour. Incredible, considering its 9 days to the deadline. Either, they’ve gotten really efficient, everybody has applied, or millions don’t really care about the deadline. Either way, if you haven’t done yours, get off your butt and go get it done. Its pretty painless.

Its almost Christmas

Wednesday, December 21st, 2005

Well, its Thursday already and I’m still in KK. Postponed my flight till Christmas Eve. At least I got tix to SIBKL’s musical on Christmas day.

MyKad also haven’t done yet.

A few vids are done. Two more to go. Sigh… Back to work.

Looks like I’ll spend boxing day catching up with sleep.
