Off we go

Friday, April 21st, 2006

I’m off tomorrow morning at 530am to Timbua, a small village near Ranau. Visiting and SIB church there. Hopefully, I’ll be able to nap sometime while I’m there. Bleh :p

Tired…

Still haven’t recovered. I’m tired and I can’t sleep at night. I’m so scr*wed.

Post project

Sunday, April 16th, 2006

Well, its like coming off this big sugar/adreneline rush. I’m beat….

Audience response was very good this morning. People were moved and some cried.

While I could visualise much of it before hand, I’m still amazed and humbled by how everything came together. We just do our part. God does the rest.

Louis, couldn’t have done it without your pictures. After all the projects we’ve done, we’ve finally combined what we do together into one project.

Thanks to the cast and crew. I know I pushed you guys very, very, very hard during preproduction. But it all came together very well on shooting day. You guys did great. Louis commented that this was the most organised and professional production that he’s ever worked on.

Interestingly enough, we showed this and parts of the Sarah Project this morning. What a contrast to my very first project in Sabah. Both are very moving, but, the easter project looks wayyyy better. :) Heheh

Well, time to start working on the Christmas project.

In the mean time, I need to sleep. Work tomorrow. G’night all…

It is finished

Saturday, April 15th, 2006

When Jesus was on the cross, he did it all. There’s nothing you can do to make God love you more and nothing you do can make God love you less.

Whatever you’ve going through right now, and struggling with. Jesus doesn’t need to do anything else for you to get through it. He’s done it all already. It really is finished.

Oh yeah, the short film Alive! is done.

Its at:

Its just over 10 minutes long and a 21.2 meg download. At this quality its watchable on your computer but not something I’d show on a projector. If you’d like to show it at your church event or service, do write in to Skyline.

Its been an interesting project. This is easily the most complex project I’ve ever done in terms of concept, number of cast and crew, budget, number of shots and not being able to do this full time. A big thanks to the cast and crew. All glory to God. Hope you’re blessed.

I’ve also updated Skynews.

Have a great Easter, people. God bless.

Its Done…

Friday, April 14th, 2006

Well, almost anyway. I think I’m finally happy with act 4 and I’ve done act 1, I’m not entirely happy with how the 3 parts of act 1 come together, but it’ll do for now until something else hits me. Joshua will pass act 2 to me after lunch. I’ve decided to call it ‘Amazed’, for now. Need a better title. Speaking of titles, this is the first time, I’ve placed credits in the opening. I shied away from it previously because it’d detract from the story, but I think it works this time. And now, for a nap…

Act 4

Thursday, April 13th, 2006

Well, Act 4 is done. I’ve tweaked the timing and transitions, resized some of the pictures and applied the colour desaturation filters. Its rendering as we speak. Note to self: next time when using 12 megapixel digital still pictures, resize them before importing into FCP. These pics are much higher res then HD video.

In case you’ve been following all this, no I haven’t started on act 1 yet. That gives me another day to finish it. The next time I agree to do another complex project while working in an office, shoot me.

More guitar brilliance

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

To make up for the previous post, here’s Zack Kim, playing the them from Super Mario Bros on 2 guitars.

And now for something completely different

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

Obviously a low point for some director’s career. It will stick with you!! I dare you to click it. :D
Oh yeah, Eunice, you were looking for a song to do a music video to, kan?

Easter is almost here!!

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

Well, Act 3 is done. I’m not quite happy with act 4 just yet, but its pretty good at this point. Moving too. Josh should be done with act 2. No, i haven’t even touched act 1 yet.

Do I always edit videos this way. ie start and the middle, finish the end the work on the beginning. Yeah. Sometimes, like Loaf Story.

Back to the office for the next two days. Hopefully I’ll get some edits done at night, so Friday isn’t like a last ditch thing.

Tired…
